Rare commemorative issue in bronze belonging to the series commemorating the so called The Age Games (Ludi Saeculares), i.e. celebrations every 110 years, which in Rome were considered the longest period of a person's life, so that no one could participate in them twice. In 248 the Games had a special course, as this year was the 1000th anniversary of Rome.
